Arbrea Labs is an ETH spin-off from the Computer Graphics Lab, ETH Zurich. We are a team of specialists in computer graphics, vision and artificial intelligence developing state-of-the-art solutions for cosmetic surgery. Our daily tasks range from 3D reconstruction and Tracking to AR/VR, focusing on the latest works in Deep Learning, Geometry Processing and Rendering applied to human bodies as we strive to develop cutting edge technology that improves our users` experience and satisfaction. We are looking to expand our team with key people who have a strong will to learn and get involved in a start-up environment. We are interested in full-time candidates but also consider internship positions with the possibility to transition fully into our team.

Job Description

As a Full Stack Web Developer at Arbrea Labs, you will bridge our mobile apps with customer data, playing a key role in empowering both our clients and internal teams to seamlessly access and interact with critical information.
You will have a strong influence on how the patient and surgeon relationship is shaped, giving you, altogether with the team, the opportunity to grow into world leaders in Medical AR/VR technology.
You will work with friendly, passionate, and easy-going team members, be very willing to offer guidance, and have a beer (or two) after work or regular team events. The working environment is quite flexible, with offices in a Technology hub, attractive salaries and we offer employee participation plans.

Main Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing APIs to support Arbrea’s mobile applications and web interfaces, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Empowering other teams by maintaining and enhancing internal tools, automating processes, and optimizing pipelines to streamline customer data management and support customer acquisition efforts.
  • Overseeing and optimizing cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Implementing robust measures to safeguard customer data, maintaining privacy and security standards.

Core Technologies

  • Our primary infrastructure is built on Node.js, TypeScript, and NoSQL databases.
  • Some tasks will involve working with PHP, MySQL, and developing functional web UIs focused on usability.
  • You’ll work with Git and Docker, and should have a strong grasp of cloud computing fundamentals.
  • Additionally, you may have the opportunity to work with technologies such as Python, GoogleSQL, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React), though these are not core requirements.
While our core stack defines much of the environment, we empower you to select the right tools for every task offering the flexibility to explore and use other languages or frameworks when appropriate.
